Stress Management ...

Stress is an energy that can be used effectively or unproductively.  When stress is misunderstood, ignored, or mismanaged it has been proven to be the leading cause of many major physical illnesses (i.e. migraines, heart attacks) and is the root cause of conflict in the office or at home. Our stress management programs and seminars give full insight on how to understand and properly handle stress. The overall goal of the stress management program is to establish or teach individual participants basic techniques that they can use to diffuse tension and to relax more easily, anywhere, anytime.

The program time and frequency can be adjusted to the needs of your company.  The corporate stress management programs that Body Mind Wellness Inc. offer may include the use of any of the following: hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), guided relaxation techniques, and office yoga.   Depending on the needs of the participants it is possible to use any of these techniques in any combination or degree.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis to relax the conscious mind and then give directions to the subconscious mind to make the changes necessary. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) directly translated means the language of the mind.  It is a technique that makes indirect suggestions to the sub-conscoius mind to make desired changes. Guided relaxation uses simple procedures to temporarily relax the mind and body.  Guided relaxation includes visual imagery, breathing exercises, posturing, body awareness, and verbal anchoring.  These techniques can be used by the participant any moment they become aware that they are necessary.

Office yoga is a practice that has recently raised much interest in corporate wellness arena.  As an SCW fitness certified level I and level II Yoga instructor, I recommend office yoga for persons who experience physical tension and discomfort from the demands of working in an office environment.
